Reported by CloudZero's VP of Finance and RevOps: the bot saves the GTM org 17-30 hours per week. It was built for about $500 in Claude tokens and costs tens of dollars a month to run.
At CloudZero, RevOps lead Miguel Valdez built CZBot, a Slack and Salesforce bot that pulls from six sources (including Salesforce, Gong and public Slack channels) and runs about a dozen background analyses every day. Reps use it to check deal and pipeline health, research prospects, prep for discovery calls, get feedback after calls, debrief wins and losses and find warm intro paths.

If you sell: tell RevOps which tab-switching costs you most
- List the small tasks reps do by jumping between tools: checking deal health, researching, call prep, post-call notes, win/loss debriefs.
- Connect the sources that hold the answers: CRM, call recordings, public Slack channels.
- Schedule daily background analyses (deal health, pipeline risk) so answers are ready before reps ask.
- Put the bot where reps already work, in Slack, and have it read and write to the CRM.
- Track hours saved and token cost from day one.
You are our RevOps assistant. Here is the CRM record for [deal]: [paste]. Here are the last call transcripts: [paste]. Here are Slack threads that mention the account: [paste]. 1) Rate deal health green, yellow or red, with the 3 facts behind it. 2) List what is missing: next step, decision maker, timeline, budget. 3) Suggest one action for the rep this week. 4) Name anyone in our Slack history who has a connection at the account. Label anything you infer, so no one mistakes it for something the rep confirmed.
If you lead a team: roll it out
- Start with one question reps ask daily (deal health) from 2 sources.
- Add sources and analyses one at a time and track hours saved.
Watch out for
- This is one company's internal build; the hours saved are their estimate.
- When the bot writes to the CRM, mark AI-inferred fields so they are not read as rep-confirmed facts (a commenter raised this).
