Contact every renewal, with a deck the agent builds for each audience in the account

Reported by SaaStr: about a month after the renewal agent started, renewals were 60% ahead of last year year to date, and the team had passed all of last year's renewal total in roughly three months.
SaaStr used to work renewals top down and spend time only on big accounts. Its renewal agent now contacts every customer at every deal size, turns results worth reporting (leads, impressions, coverage) into monthly touches, and builds each renewal deck in Gamma from real data. It also splits the proof by audience: a single slide for the CEO, the detail for the team that runs the program, and an honest fix-it story for accounts that underperformed.

If you sell: run this on your next 3 renewals
- List every renewal coming up, at every deal size, not only your biggest accounts.
- Pull everything you can report for each account this year: leads, impressions, usage, coverage.
- Send those results as monthly touches through the year, not only at renewal time.
- Have AI build the renewal deck from that real data and your real photos and stats (SaaStr uses Gamma because it sticks to the data).
- Split the proof by audience: one headline slide for the CEO, the detail for the day-to-day team.
- If an account underperformed, have the agent flag it and write an honest 'here is what slipped and how we fix it' story instead of a happy one.
Here is everything we delivered for [account] this year: [paste results: leads, impressions, usage, events, coverage]. Here is last year's data: [paste]. The people involved are: [CEO name], [day-to-day owner and team]. 1) Give me the single number that matters most to the CEO, as one slide. 2) Give the day-to-day team a 5-slide outline with the detailed proof. 3) Compare this year to last year. If anything went down, say so plainly and draft a short 'what slipped and how we fix it next year' section. Use only the numbers I gave you. If something is missing, ask.
If you lead a team: roll it out
- Have the agent cover the small renewals your team never gets to first.
- Track renewal rate by deal size before and after.
Watch out for
- The 60% figure is SaaStr's whole renewal number; contacting every renewal and the agent both contributed.
- SaaStr sells sponsorships, so its reportable results are leads and impressions. Use whatever results your product produces.
- Check every number in the deck against your own data before it goes to the customer.
