Reported for one event: 614 meetings booked at ~$85K average ticket, from ~2.25M sessions and ~402,000 interactions. In one month 71% of closed-won sponsorship deals came from AI-qualified inbound, vs a historic 29-34%. $1M+ closed-won sourced by the agent.
A form plus round robin took SaaStr 2 to 3 days to reach a buyer. An agent trained on each buyer type answers instantly, books the meeting, sends the rep a full context brief, routes to the rep who closes that deal type best, and follows up with people who drop off.

If you sell: run it before your 10am
- Go incognito on your own site, fill in your own form and time the reply. Fix what embarrasses you.
- Pick one inbound agent tool and go deep (no 8-vendor bake-off).
- Train it separately on each buyer type (e.g. self-serve vs enterprise) and have it re-read your site daily.
- Route meetings by your own close data (who wins which deal type), and check the weighting for drift.
- Add triggered follow-ups for known visitors who drop off; exclude current customers.
- If you discount, give the agent fixed guardrails instead of letting reps improvise.
- Track meetings booked, share of closed-won from the agent, and speed to first reply.
You are the first reply on our website for [company]. There are two kinds of visitors: [type A, what they want, how they buy] and [type B, ...]. In your first two questions, work out which one this is. Answer only from [site pages / knowledge base]; if you do not know, say so and offer a human. If they fit [qualification rules], offer a meeting and book it with [routing rule]. Before the meeting, write the rep a 5-line brief: who they are, what they asked, pages they viewed, budget or timing they mentioned, and the one question the rep should open with. Never quote a discount outside [rules].
If you lead a team: roll it out
- Count how many inbound leads get a human reply within an hour today; Lemkin says his human team answered under 40% of inbound, the agent answers 100%.
Watch out for
- Big, well-known brand with huge site traffic; 614 meetings is one event cycle and not all closed (he says so).
- Needs a tool and a technical setup.
- Product names appear, but this is SaaStr's own use and numbers, not a vendor case study.
