Reported: 45 minutes of manual Monday triage became a 2-minute read.
Kevin Payne set a Claude Cowork task to run at 6:30am every Monday. It reads his Notion deal tracker and account intel board, flags accounts that moved at least one 6sense buying stage in the last 7 days and have sequence coverage, scores them on a three-part rubric, and writes a briefing back to Notion: Act Today, Monitor This Week, Watch.

If you sell: write your Monday rubric down once
- Keep deals and account notes in a place Claude can read (he used two Notion databases: deal tracker and account intel).
- Write your intent rule in plain words, for example: moved at least one buying stage in the last 7 days AND has active or recent sequence coverage.
- Score each account on 3 things: intent signal strength, how close it is to pipeline, and sequence coverage.
- Sort them into Act Today, Monitor This Week and Watch.
- Schedule the task for early Monday and have it write the briefing in the same format every week.
- Read it first thing Monday and fix the rubric when it disagrees with your gut.
Every Monday at 6:30am, read my deal tracker [database/link] and account intel board [database/link]. Flag any account that moved at least one buying stage in the last 7 days AND has an active or recent sequence. Do not infer stage moves; only use what the data shows. Score each flagged account 1-5 on: intent signal strength, pipeline proximity, sequence coverage. Add the three scores. Write a briefing with: Top actions (3-5 bullets), Act Today, Monitor This Week, Watch, each account with its score and one line of why. Keep it to a 2-minute read.
If you lead a team: roll it out
- Give every rep the same rubric so Monday briefings are comparable.
- Review the scoring once a month against what actually closed.
Watch out for
- You need intent data (he used 6sense). Without it, use CRM activity and replies as the signal.
- His point is that writing the rubric down is the real work. Expect to tune it for a few weeks.
- In a later post he says if you accept the digest's proposed action more than 70% of the time, you handed over the wrong job: retrain the rubric and pull the decision back.
