Qualify every company's website with AI before you pay to enrich a single contact

Reported by the founder of Pipeline: raw scraped lists land 50-60% ICP fit, while qualifying each company's website with an AI column first lands 90-95%. On one client build, contacts taken from companies' own websites needed 54.97 contacts per positive reply, against 94.94 for contacts from paid databases (4,553 public vs 3,621 paid contacts).
Christian, who runs the outbound agency Pipeline, starts by having Claude read 20 sales call transcripts and 10 closed-won accounts to write the ICP, the buying signals and a list of hard disqualifiers. Then every scraped company's website goes through an AI column checked against that ICP before any credits are spent on finding emails. For local markets he also pulls the contact details companies publish on their own sites.

If you sell: write your disqualifiers first
- Pull your last 20 recorded sales calls, last 10 closed-won accounts and last 10 closed-lost with the reason.
- Have Claude return the repeated pains in the buyer's words, the signals true before each win, personas written as situations, and hard disqualifiers (prompt below).
- Build your company list (Google Maps, trade directories, a database).
- Run every company's website through an AI column that checks it against your ICP and disqualifiers.
- Only then pay to find and verify emails, cheapest provider first.
- For local businesses, also pull the emails and numbers published on their own websites, and compare reply rates by source.
Read these 20 call transcripts & 10 closed-won account summaries. Return: the 3 pain points that appear most, quoted in the prospect's words. The observable signals that were true before each closed-won account bought. 3 personas written as situations rather than titles. A list of hard disqualifiers. Return none where nothing is found. Never invent a signal.
If you lead a team: roll it out
- Make the AI qualifying column a required step before anyone buys enrichment credits.
- Track ICP fit and contacts per positive reply by list source.
Watch out for
- Christian runs an outbound agency, and the post ends with an offer to build this for you. The method is fully shared in the post.
- The 54.97 vs 94.94 comparison comes from one client build in local markets.
- We could not confirm his last name; the X account is @coldemailchris.
