Reported: "booked a vertical SaaS 9 calls in its first 6 days" and "53 meetings in 50 days". Day one booked 2 calls. info@ emails got a 5.6% reply rate and 6.12% interested. Week one: 1 interested per 576 emails; 800 dials per booked meeting.
Owners of 11 to 50 person local businesses are not in the usual databases. Get them from Google Maps, let AI clean names and find the owner, write a plain four-part email with no personalisation, and call the same list.

If you sell: run it before your 10am
- Gather context first: sales calls, closed-won accounts, customer interviews, and an AI market research pass.
- Set the ICP (here landscaping companies, 11 to 50 employees) and score accounts on an active website and Google review count.
- Scrape Google Maps city by city into Clay (he used GTME(.)Business). Keep the listed phone number.
- Have GPT clean the company names.
- Find the owner with Claygent on GPT-4o mini (he says nano models "got it wrong too often").
- Scrape emails from the website, info@ included.
- Send from Gmail inboxes on separate domains (he used porkbun, scaledMail, emailBison).
- Write the email in four moves: their pain in their words, what the system does, an offer to build one from a recent project of theirs, end on "worth a look?". No personalisation.
- Call the same list (he used Salesfinity, 500 dials a day).
- Read week one, tier every reply, sync to the CRM, then double the volume.
Write a cold email under 90 words to the owner of a [industry] company with [11-50] employees. Use four moves only: (1) the pain in the words owners use, from these notes: [call/interview quotes]; (2) what our system does about it, in one sentence; (3) an offer to build a sample from one of their recent projects; (4) end with "worth a look?". No first-name tricks, no compliments, no links.
If you lead a team: roll it out
- Track email and phone results separately by week so you know which channel books the meetings.
Watch out for
- Agency numbers for a client; the client is not named.
- 800 dials per meeting means calling is a volume game here.
- Scraping and cold email must follow local law and platform rules, and use separate sending domains.
